Innovation

Systems and equipment in buildings are a collaboration of many factors that affect personal experience, productivity and overall operations.  TPS can provide value based solutions that will reflect the quality of your organization.

Behind her are large metallic pipes, tubes, and equipment, with some black insulation and a warning sign. The setting appears to be a facility related to engineering or manufacturing.

Decades of experience in the building design and operations industry, Trident Professional Solutions can provide a variety of services with our team of professionals, industry colleagues and trade partners.

Our Services

Rapid IAQ

Utilizing ASHRAE Standards (62.1, 55, 52), OSHA, EPA and associated enhanced indoor air quality guidelines, a detailed compliance audit can be tailored to meet compliance requirements along with recommendations to potentially improve occupant productivity, save energy and optimize overall building operation effectiveness.

Independent validation can provide the documentation necessary for RTW (return to work) programs, required ventilation and systems in place that meet or exceed code or equivalent clean air delivery programs.

Project Management

Mechanical and electrical utility infrastructure projects require experience in these respective disciplines to manage on behalf of the Owner. TPS can offer PM services for these unique projects that go beyond many project managers’ expertise. When it comes to chilled water, steam, heating hot water, fire, normal and essential power new installs and upgrades, a PM needs to know what questions to ask, ensure OPR is documented and understand the components of the system beyond drawings and Pay Applications. Services that can be tailored to your project:

  • Development of RFPs, A/E scope and document review

  • Pre-purchase of equipment, ODPOs (including tax savings), including maintenance and service negotiated contracts

  • Utility rebates

  • Coordination and collaboration of ALL site utilities (public and private)

  • Contracts, scope and pay application review

  • Independent site inspections, reviews, reporting, submittal review, overall project delivery including Cx coordination and project turnover.

Independent Verification and Validation of Building Systems

Trident Professional Solutions focuses on independent IV&V MEP/FP systems consulting firm — and that independence is everything. Our Owner's Advocate Review™ brings 30+ years of engineering science to every engagement with zero conflicts of interest. We identify what others miss, remediate what others overlook, and protect what matters most — your occupants, your investment, and your organization's reputation.

Over 30 years of experience that encompasses code review, TJC/CMS compliance, SOPs, LCA, LCCA, BAS oversite and monitoring along with operational effectiveness of facilities operations (design, OPR, CMMS, O&M, regulatory review, training and implementation of new standards).

Campus Master Planning

Campus and Infrastructure Planning

Mechanical and electrical systems are typically an afterthought in campus planning, typically not in civil scope which leaves many owners struggling with options on long term campus planning for the most critical systems (power and air conditioning) for buildings and campuses exceeding 250,000 SF. The experts at TPS can walk through options whether for smaller turnkey developments or large campus plans that are phased over decades. In collaboration with civil work, general contractors and respective consultants, TPS can assist in layouts that will incorporate the long term, resilient solutions that grow with the development and reduce overall fiscal impact. Plan your development, do not let your development overrun you with short term fixes that will hold owners hostage to contractors and rising utility rates.

Design, Commissioning and Construction Reviews

◆ Development of OPR (owner’s project requirements) as part of initial scope development

◆ Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing system design review

◆ Site assessment, stakeholder interviews, operational improvements to design prior to bid/RFI

◆ Owner Review: Key findings, recommendations before remediation is necessary

◆ Project and asset turnover, O&Ms, Facilities Manuals, As-Built verification, etc. Red zone activities to provide the Owner with contracted requirements for successful operation.

Indoor air quality, energy use, comfort, sound and the ability to operate and maintain building systems for safe and effective indoor environments that serve the occupants.

With decades of experience in public and private clients, Trident Professional Solutions offers a tailored scope of work that truly is the Owner’s Advocate. A licensed engineer with many EOR projects throughout the State of Florida to facilities management leadership (Certified Facilities Manager) in corporate financial, healthcare and universities - this combination will save owners money and headaches with methods of accountability across disciplines, project delivery and building operations.

Effective building operations require a systematic balance of preventive maintenance, data-driven monitoring, and clear operational protocols to ensure occupant comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. Prioritizing routine inspections and predictive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems reduces downtime and extends equipment life, while continuous monitoring of indoor air quality, temperature, humidity, and energy use enables rapid response to deviations and supports informed investments. Well-documented standard operating procedures, staff training, and coordinated vendor management streamline repairs and compliance activities, and regular review of performance metrics—such as energy intensity, system uptime, and air-exchange rates—drives ongoing optimization. Integrating building automation, fault detection, and occupant feedback further improves responsiveness and creates measurable gains in safety, comfort, and cost control.
